Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel
(1875-1950) was one of the founding fathers of Republic India. He was a successful
lawyer and a statesman. The Iron Man of India, often regarded as ‘Patron
Saint’, had established All-India
services. His impressive leadership quality earned him the title of ’maker of United India’. He played a major
role in India’s struggle for freedom. He led several revolts against British
Government in Kheda and Bardolli in the year 1922. Honoured with Bharat Ratna
award in the year 1991, Vallabhbhai Patel was the deputy Prime Minister and
Home Minister of India.
